Brian Woolfolk
Executive Vice President and Head of Institutional DivisionBrian is responsible for the establishment, growth and profitability of Pacific Life’s institutional product lines. Prior to his promotion to lead the new division in January of 2020, he was senior vice president of sales and chief marketing officer in the Retirement Solutions Division. Brian joined Pacific Life in 2010.
Joe Krum
Senior Vice President, Pacific Life’s Global Institutional Investment GroupSince joining Pacific Life in 2001, Joe surpassed over 30 years of industry experience and served in a variety of key roles, including VP, Treasurer of Pacific Life. Joe was also responsible for spearheading the development of Pacific Life’s Sustainable Bond Framework and the issuance of the company’s inaugural sustainability bond, as well as the global expansion of Pacific Life’s Funding Agreement-Backed Note (FABN) platform. Joe was promoted to his current role in 2023.
Karen Neeley
Senior Vice President, Head of Institutional Retirement Solutions GroupKaren has served in the financial services industry for nearly two decades, with extensive experience in retirement, across the DB and DC sectors. She has held leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies, and in 2025, she joined DCIIA’s Executive Committee as Vice Chair of the Retirement Income Committee. Karen is responsible for go-to-market strategy, product development, distribution, operations, and customer engagement for the Pension Risk Transfer and Defined Contribution Lifetime Income business lines. Karen joined Pacific Life in 2023.
Ivy Wu
Vice Preseident, Chief Risk Officer, Head of Market RiskIvy is responsible for pricing, assumptions, and data analytics for the Customer Solutions Group products. Before joining Pacific Life, Ivy served as Vice President & Actuary at Prudential Financial, leading the Pension Risk Transfer and Global Longevity Reinsurance pricing team. Ivy has over 20 years of actuarial experience; she is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Ivy joined Pacific Life in 2022.
Michael Oler
Assistant Vice President, Head of Defined Contribution Lifetime IncomeMichael is responsible for leading the growth of the Defined Contribution Lifetime Income business. Before joining Pacific Life, Michael was the Retirement Income Product Manager at T. Rowe Price. His career in retirement services has also included strategic roles at BlackRock, MetLife, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Michael joined Pacific Life in 2022.
Christine Bass
Assistant Vice President, Head of New MarketsChristine is responsible for the Health Savings Account business and developing products in new markets. Christine joined Pacific Life in 2022 and has over 15 years of actuarial experience, across life, annuity, and institutional products in U.S. and international markets. Her career has also included roles at Bain Capital, Milliman, and Prudential Financial. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
Maya T. Pillai
Assistant Vice President, Head of Stable Value WrapMaya is responsible for managing the Stable Value Wrap team, which focuses on market development and growth. Maya works with Stable Value Investment Managers to provide a Stable Value option for retirement plan participants and education savings account holders. Since 2009, Maya has held various roles within the Stable Value industry; she joined Pacific Life in 2018.
Jim Breen
Assistant Vice President, Head of MarketingJim leads the marketing efforts for the Institutional Division, including Pension Risk Transfer, Defined Contribution Lifetime Income, Stable Value, Health Savings Account, and Funding Agreement business. He joined Pacific Life in 2015 and brings over 20 years of experience to the team.
Lance Doherty
Assistant Vice President, Capital Markets GroupLance’s responsibilities include Funding Agreements, FHLB funding, Working Capital Finance Investments, and Securities Lending income businesses. Since joining Pacific life in 2006, he has held various roles within Corporate Treasury, including capital markets, liquidity management, and short-term investing.
Jen Wing
Director, Strategic Execution & IntegrationJen is responsible for overseeing the Internal Sales team for the Pension Risk Transfer and Defined Contribution Lifetime Income product lines. She works with sales intermediaries and consultants, as well as plan sponsors and participants of defined benefit plans to ensure a smooth transition to Pacific Life. Jen joined Pacific Life in 2000.
Chris McGlynn
Strategic Partner Relations DirectorChris is responsible for consulting with organizations and their intermediaries on Pension Risk Transfer and Defined Contribution Lifetime Income solutions. Through these institutional retirement collaborations, Chris partners to provide innovative opportunities for plan sponsors to manage future employer-retirement cost volatility and the option to offer its employees with in-plan guaranteed income options for retirement. Chris joined Pacific Life in 2022.
Octavio Dominguez
Senior Pensions Sales AssociateOctavio works on the Solutions Team for the Pension Risk Transfer and Defined Contribution Lifetime Income product lines. He helps ensure a smooth transition of plan participants to Pacific Life by working with plan sponsors and sales intermediaries. Octavio Joined Pacific Life in 2011.
Danielle Johnson
Senior Pensions Sales AssociateDanielle is responsible for the pre and post-sale coordination of Pacific Life’s Institutional Annuity products. In her role, she works on building strong relationships with our sales intermediaries and consultants, as well as plan sponsors and participants, providing exceptional customer service as participants transition to Pacific Life. Danielle joined Pacific Life 2002.
Scott McGill
Director of Operations, PensionsScott leads the Operations area for Pension Risk Transfer and Defined Contribution Lifetime Income annuities for the Institutional Division. He oversees a team that supports an industry-leading customer experience through the consistent and accurate handling of transaction requests across the lifecycle of our contracts. Scott joined Pacific Life in 2005.
Ahmet Kamil
Strategic Partnerships DirectorAhmet joined Pacific Life as a Director of Product Development in May of 2020. He brings with him nearly 15 years of financial services experience with a decade of that spent in the insurance industry in various roles ranging from sales and distribution to defined contribution lifetime income product development. Ahmet’s focus in his current role is bringing to life the defined contribution lifetime income strategy for Pacific Life.
Ron Canent
Assistant Vice President, Institutional Capital Markets OperationsRon joined Pacific Life Insurance Company in 1998. He focuses on Funding Agreements, Working Capital Finance Investments, Securities Lending, and Federal Home Loan Bank programs.
Adam Gilbert
HSA Product ManagerAdam manages the Health Savings Account business. He joined Pacific Life in 2020 and has robust experience in stable value and institutional markets. Adam is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
Marti Vaughan
Operations Service AnalystMarti is on the Operations Team for the Pension Risk Transfer and Defined Contribution Lifetime Income products. She works to ease the transition to Pacific Life and provides long-term, quality care to plan participants. Marti joined Pacific Life in 2018.
